Weight Loss Resolution - Don’t Give up on Your Weight Loss Resolution

Happy new year to all..! We are finally in the year 2008 and if there is one thing that always stands out in the beginning of January, it is the fact that a vast majority of us has weight loss as a new year’s resolution.

Well I am writing this article to tell you that you should not give up on your weight loss resolution. Many people laugh at this resolution but the way I look at it; New Year, New Possibility. January gives us a possibility to a fresh start so why not grab it.

Here is my two cent on how to get of to a good start.

We have all been eaten way too much over the holidays so make sure you change your diet. Now there is no reason to take a 180 and become fanatic about it. (As way too many of us tend to do.) Make sure you get of to a good but healthy start. And no, eating to little is not healthy. Make small changes to your regular diet and take it from there.

And as you probably know, we can’t be healthy without exercise. And again, the same principals apply. Don’t start out with running the marathon. Not only will you not make it, you will also ruin your will and motivation to continue with your weight loss.

The last statement above might prove to be the most important one to follow. There is a reason for you not to start of too hard. You need to keep your good motivation longer then just the first four weeks. Weight loss is about changing your life style and can not be done over night. But if you make all your changes at a steady pace and don’t over do it, you will hardly notice it at all.

So the conclusion to my two cent on weight loss resolution has to be to just get started. Everything is better than nothing. Just remember to not go overboard and be fanatic about it. You need to stay healthy and that will in turn make you happy.
