Public health messages sometimes does quite the opposite of what they intended to do, to have. Are constantly being bombarded by eliminating the same broken record we can. Unfortunately it is very rare that the risks of these warnings disappear in a similar manner. Take, for example, the dangers of being overweight or even obesity. We can ignore any warnings, we want, but the fact remains that if you are overweight, with cause, you suffer some of the stage from the associated healthProblems.
In a recent National Geographic magazine which were statistically the most frequently listed causes of death in the United States. The first three heart disease (1 in 5 chance), cancer (are 1 in 7 chance) and stroke (1 in 24 chance). All three are closely related, although not directly related to obesity (by the way the cause of death with the slightest chance of occurring by fireworks discharge with a 1 in 340,733 chance). It is no coincidence that happens, the Americans alsothe fattest people walking the earth at the moment, closely followed, we should add, by the Australians.
If you believe that you are not at risk, grab a tape measure and measure your waist. People have an increased risk for obesity-related diseases, if the measurement is more than 94cm, and a significantly higher risk if your waist is more than 102cm. For women, these figures are respectively 80cm and 88cm.
Fat around the abdomen, cutely a "Pot Belly called"regardless of the rest of your size, increases the likelihood of developing health conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and certain cancers. Many of you will probably be surprised to see higher risk fit into this category. The large number of people in our community, the morbidly obese are prone to give the rest of us a false sense of security.
The health risks and body fat distribution is as follows:

ModerateRisk - overweight people without a Pot Belly
Moderate risk - overweight people who do not Pot Belly
High risk - overweight people with a pot belly
Your risk of disease increases with your weight. The more overweight you are the higher your chance of developing, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, certain cancers, gout (joint pain caused by excess uric acid) and gallbladder disease. Obesity can also bring on the uncomfortable condition of sleep apnea andpainful osteoarthritis.
Obese people also tend to have high blood pressure that is associated with a variety of health problems. Excess pounds may mean very high blood levels of cholesterol and triglycerides (blood fats), which can also help lead to heart disease.
